What is a Temporary Position?

A temporary assignment can last anywhere from as little as one day up to an indefinite period of time, depending on what our client company's needs may be.

There are a number of reasons why a company may need a temporary employee, including the following:
•  Employee absences (vacations, illnesses, maternity leaves, etc.)
•  Seasonal business peaks or surges in business activity
•  Special projects or "catch-up" work
•  To determine whether a current staffing need warrants the establishing of a permanent position

What is a Temporary–to–Hire Position?

This is a permanent position that exists within a company that begins with an employee starting out on Staffing Sense's temporary payroll for a given period of time, before being converted to a permanent employee of that company.

This allows our client companies to "try out" an employee at a specific position before actually hiring that person onto their own payroll on a permanent basis.

Similarly, working temporary-to-hire is a great way for an employee to "check out" a company to see it they would enjoy working there before having to make a permanent commitment.

What is a Direct Hire Position?

This is when a client company has a permanent position available and chooses to fill it by placing one of our employees onto their own payroll immediately.
